We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team at the University of Melbourne. As a key member of the Academic Programs leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping the success of undergraduate activities within the Faculty of Business and Economics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a small team by setting clear direction and providing mentorship, coaching, and support for professional development, all aimed at achieving organisational objectives and KPIs.
  • Act as the main liaison and escalation point between the Academic Programs team, teaching departments, and Student and Scholarly Services, managing all matters related to the faculty's undergraduate programs.
  • Contribute to the wider Academic Services team as a leader and influencer, working collaboratively across functions with peers to create effective workflows and communication that support collective goals and drive success.
About You

We are looking for a program management professional with experience from a university or government education sector and a thorough understanding of these environments. You should be a highly effective leader who excels at mentoring and managing performance while driving efficiency. You should inspire teamwork, build a positive workplace culture, and offer innovative, solutions-focused approaches.

You should be a skilled problem-solver, capable of exercising sound judgment and initiative to address complex challenges. You should be adept at building relationships, collaborating with others, and working independently or as part of a team. Your cultural sensitivity and understanding enables you to effectively navigate diverse environments and negotiate solutions.

You should have a strong understanding of policies and procedures and be able to analyse processes to identify opportunities for improvement. You should be committed to enhancing efficiency and streamlining processes to benefit both students and staff.
