Australia Youth Rehabilitation Specialist

We invite applications for a Residential Youth Worker role at our Carlisle location. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to the positive outcomes aligned with the service contracts and values of Mission Australia.
As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing holistic and trauma-informed support to young people accessing residential services. You will work collaboratively with the team to provide a safe and supportive short-stay residential environment for young people aged 12-21 years who are managing their withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs or taking time out from environmental influences and pressures.
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree or diploma in Youth Work, Psychology, or Social Welfare, or a minimum of Certificate IV in Community Services with at least three years' experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrated experience providing support and crisis intervention.
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management and capacity to set boundaries and limits in a residential setting.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to provide positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated professional approach to maintaining professional boundaries.
