Travel Medicine Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled medical professional to join our team as a Travel Medicine Specialist.

Job Description:

As a Travel Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and care to patients planning international travel. You will conduct comprehensive health assessments, prescribe necessary vaccinations, and provide guidance on travel-related health risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) medicals and certifications
  • Compliance with regulatory requirements for various industries, including coal mining and rail operations
  • Conducting health assessments and prescribing vaccinations for travelers
  • Providing education and counseling on travel-related health risks and preventive measures
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest travel medicine guidelines and recommendations
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of clinical policies

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Eligibility to access Medicare services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
