About the Role

This exciting opportunity is for an Apprentice Body Repair Technician to join our team at Tesla Body Repair. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service experiences to our customers.

In this hands-on technical role, you will have the opportunity to learn from our experienced team of Tesla Body Repair Technicians and work on revolutionary electric vehicles. You will go through an intensive EV and body repair training program, designed to equip you with the skills and nationally recognised qualification necessary for a successful career with Tesla's Body Shops.

As a Body Repair Technician, you will be responsible for repairing, replacing and refitting non-structural vehicle panels that have been damaged as a result of a collision. You will also have the option to include structural repair qualifications and experience within your apprenticeship.

About the Training

The training program you will complete includes a mix of practical training and assessment, undertaken in our state-of-the-art Body Shops, and eLearning, allowing you to complete theory elements of the programme at your own pace. You will have access to videos, interactive simulations and theory assessments, which can be easily accessed at any time and from any device.

As a Tesla Apprentice Body Repair Technician, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of all Tesla products, Body Repair Systems, Process and Procedures. You will also have the chance to work as a team to deliver results and achieve daily goals, and to develop your technical acumen, communication skills and attention to detail.

About You
  • You will have completed Year 12 and be eligible to attend training through MITO
  • You will hold a valid driver's license and be fluent in English
  • You will have a strong interest in electronics and technology, and excellent communication skills, attention to detail and time management skills
  • You will be able to learn on the job, work quickly and efficiently, and follow instructions
  • You will be able to handle shifting priorities and meet deadlines, and be proactive and take initiative, planning ahead to best support your team
  • You will be self-aware, flexible and open-minded, with a combination of analytical thinking, hands-on problem solving and customer-service mindset
