About the Role:
The Super Retail Group is seeking a skilled Change Management Specialist to drive the implementation of a leading Payroll and HR System across the Group. As a key member of the Change Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful adoption and entrenchment of the system.
You will work closely with HR, Payroll, and Technology peers to understand current processes, identify potential areas of impact, and design strategies to support SRG employees through the change. Your responsibility will be to measure the level of change adoption and create and implement multi-channel communication strategies to tailor messages to the level of adoption identified.
This is a hybrid, full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity with a possibility of permanency or extension. You will be based in the state-of-the-art Strathpine (Brisbane) or Rhodes (Sydney) offices when not working from home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Payroll and HR System-specific change management strategies to enable change readiness, adoption, and deliver desired business benefits.
- Design change tactics that suit the change context and risk profile.
- Personalize the change experience for impacted personas through creating change journeys that facilitate a positive change experience.
- Evaluate the organization's current preparedness for the change by analyzing existing capabilities, cultural factors, and potential areas of resistance.
- Partner with process experts and SMEs to document the current state and outline the desired future state to clarify the gap and define the steps needed to achieve the change effectively.
- Develop and execute targeted communication and stakeholder engagement plans outlining objectives, key messages, and engagement strategies for each stakeholder group.
- Develop targeted messages that address the unique needs and expectations of each group and create a compelling narrative.
- Assess the skills, knowledge, and capabilities employees will need in the new environment, identifying any gaps that training should address.
- Work closely with the L&D team to design and deliver training content that is relevant, practical, and accessible.
About You:
- You have significant and demonstrated experience in the delivery of large, complex HR System and/or Payroll system change initiatives.
- Proficiency and competence working with a variety of stakeholders including Senior Leadership Teams, HR, Technology, and Payroll peers.
- A practical and commercial understanding of change management and an appreciation of the positive impact successful change management can have on an organization across all levels.
- Impeccable communication skills across all communication channels with a razor-sharp eye for detail.
- A natural flair for facilitating and training others and an ease of collaborating with peers at all levels.
- You are best known for your inherently elevated level of emotional intelligence, and you enjoy working in a complex business undergoing significant transformation.
- A certification in Change Management and a Bachelor or Postgraduate qualification in Business, Human Resource Management, Psychology, or Organisational Psychology or equivalent experience in a related role.
Why Join Us:
- You'll get to join an organization with a culture that is motivated by innovation and creating awesome experiences for our customers and teams, and will get to work alongside a diverse team across Super Retail Group that is representative of the communities we work in.
- Super Retail Group is a Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) Employer of Choice for Gender Equality citation holder.
- As well as supporting hybrid work options, we have a recently built, modern corporate office that you can work from located in Strathpine in the northern suburbs, with great amenities, easily accessible with plenty of parking on site, as well as being located close to public transport lines.
- We are committed to your professional development and will support on-going opportunities for both learning and progression.
- You will get access to generous discounts across all Super Retail Group brands, as well as access to our Perks Programme, including discounts on Health and Wellbeing, Entertainment, Travel, and Accommodation and more.
- You and your immediate family will have access to Sonder, which provides free confidential 24/7 personalized financial, medical safety, psychological, or physical support and access to I Am Here a guiding mental health and wellbeing program for team members.
Our Culture of Inclusion:

We support, promote, and celebrate diversity, and we recognize the benefits a culture of inclusion brings to our workplace and customer experience. We aim to create a truly inclusive workplace where everyone feels that they belong and realize their full potential.
We encourage all candidates to apply; please let us know in your application if we can support you with any adjustments in the hiring process.
- Hybrid role, working in the state-of-the-art Strathpine (Bris) or Rhodes (Syd) office as well as WFH.
- Opportunity to make a broad impact to implementing a leading Payroll and HR System across the Group.
- Join a purpose-driven, engaged workforce that is going through significant transformation.
