
Wildlife Conservation and Documentary Film-Making Opportunity

Gain hands-on experience in wildlife documentary film-making and develop your skills in a unique and challenging environment.
This program is designed for individuals with a passion for wildlife conservation and documentary film-making. You will work alongside experienced professionals to develop, film, and edit your own wildlife documentary set in an African game reserve.
The program runs over 1 month, with the first and last weeks spent at Mossel Bay conducting pre-production and post-production work. The remaining 9 days are spent living on a reserve, filming your wildlife documentary.
The program involves a range of activities, including:
- Orientation to Mossel Bay and the program
- Intro to journalism and journalistic writing styles
- Tutorial: Rewriting and Editing
- Guided and self-guided edits of previous submissions
- Tutorial: Interviewing techniques what are they?
- Research conduct research on two individuals and prep for mock interview.
- Expeditions- This week involves a number of different expeditions and a lot of travel writing and blogging
- Tutorial: Travel Writing
- Research conduct research on specific upcoming expeditions
During the weekends you will be able to take part in activities and tours or simply relax.

- Writing and editing content
- Creating engaging multimedia presentations
