Incitec Pivot Limited is a leading manufacturer of high-quality ammonium phosphate fertilisers for domestic and export markets. Our production facilities include ammonia, phosphoric acid, granulation, and beneficiation plants, equipped with the latest technology and featuring state-of-the-art manufacturing processes.
The Role
As a Mineral Acid Process Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring production volume and quality in accordance with set targets. Your duties will include:
- Conducting safe field operations
- DCS control room operations
- Conducting safe permits and isolations procedures
- Shutdown preparation and planning of the plant
- Participating in continuous training and development
About You
We're seeking individuals who are committed to maintaining a high level of physical fitness, while also demonstrating a passion for continuous learning and development in the field of Chemical Manufacturing.
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:
- Physically fit and able to perform daily manual handling activities
- Experience in a Process Technician role in a continuous processing environment, or a trade qualification, and motivation to transition to an operations role
- You will be flexible, conscientious, quality-oriented, and able to function effectively in a small, self-managed team environment
- Previous experience within the chemical or gas processing industries would be advantageous, as would boiler and turbine operational experience
- Proactive and results-driven, you have a strong focus on safety and quality work and thrive in an environment where you will be required to build strong working relationships with people at all levels
- Must have excellent communication skills
