At OFX, we are seeking an expert to help us prevent and detect financial crimes. This role requires a strong background in investigations, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management.

About the Role

The Senior Financial Crimes Investigator will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into potential financial crimes, including fraud, money laundering, and terrorist financing. This involves analyzing complex data, identifying patterns, and communicating findings to relevant authorities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive investigations into suspicious activity, leveraging advanced analytical tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as operations and risk management, to identify areas of high-risk activity.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all investigations, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice on financial crime prevention and detection to senior management.
Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in financial crimes case investigations, preferably within the financial sector.
  • Demonstrated expertise in drafting and submitting Suspicious Matter Reports.
  • In-depth knowledge of current Risk, Anti-Fraud, and Anti-Money Laundering obligations and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize work effectively.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
