Unlocking Financial Stability as a Specialist in Sydney

Earn an estimated salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum as a highly skilled Specialist in our growing Financial Crime team.

Join us at Ashurst and contribute to delivering advice to clients on financial crime risk and compliance. As a Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team that provides expertise across Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), Economic and Trade Sanctions (Sanctions), and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC).

Your typical week might involve:

  • Collaborating with experts to develop strategic capabilities for the Financial Crime team;
  • Assisting clients in addressing gaps and uplifting their compliance capabilities;
  • Producing reports and artefacts related to financial crime risk and compliance;
  • Supporting business development initiatives by preparing go-to-market materials;
  • Providing local and global market insight to support clients' strategic planning.
About You:
  • You're passionate about providing innovative solutions to complex problems and excited about the opportunity to grow with a unique practice;
  • You have 3-5 years of experience in a client-facing role within a well-respected consulting firm;
  • You possess intermediate-level professional skills, including strong written communication and presentation abilities;
  • You have proven expertise in supporting the review and development of relevant AML/CTF or other financial crime initiatives;
  • You're eager to learn and develop your skills and understanding of financial crime;
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment and are not afraid to share your views.
