Guidance and Support Specialist

As a Guidance and Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance and support to individuals throughout their journey.

You will be responsible for mentoring, supporting, and guiding individuals to ensure their success and foster retention and completions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Meeting with allocated individuals to understand their barriers or issues
  • Creating individual plans for each mentored person and updating accordingly
  • Liaising with other stakeholders to get their input on the plan
  • Identifying and assessing risk factors to determine individuals requiring support
  • Hosting meetings or mediation with individuals and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes where differences arise
  • Liaising with specialised organisations to ensure complex issues/needs are appropriately addressed
  • Building relationships and undertaking activity with stakeholders such as schools, job search providers
  • Undertaking a range of administrative duties associated with the position, including reports and mentoring activity
