Student Career Guidance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated professional to provide expert career guidance to our students. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of educational pathways and be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

The successful applicant will play a crucial role in helping students navigate their career options and make informed decisions about their future. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Senior Pathways Team to develop and implement effective career guidance programs.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students to help them explore their career aspirations and develop meaningful pathway plans.
  • Work closely with teachers and other staff members to ensure that students receive comprehensive career guidance throughout their time at the College.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders to access resources and opportunities for students.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to student career guidance.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV or Graduate Certificate in Careers Education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the personal and academic growth of young people.
