About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to join our client, a leading healthcare provider, as the Emergency Department Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills and further your career in a mission-based organization.

The Emergency Department is a busy, state-of-the-art facility featuring a beautiful environment, brand new technology, and serving a large community. The Manager of the ED will work with a progressive and supportive partner, whose emergency specialists achieve exceptional patient satisfaction ratings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinated patient care and services to deliver the best patient outcomes and satisfaction ratings
  • A programme of continual staff education
  • Managing clinical risk through following and maintaining clinical guidelines and policies and ongoing development of a high-quality skilled nursing workforce
  • Maintaining a nursing budget
Requirements
  • An empathy-driven approach to leadership and values alignment with our client and partner
  • Emergency Department Management experience (or similar) of at least 5 years
  • Graduate Diploma in Emergency Nursing or Critical Care Nursing
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Ability to work unsupervised, with a calm and proficient approach and the ability to work in an organized manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Creativity and vision to propose new initiatives and/or change existing programs to meet future organizational and employee needs
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission-based organization
  • Previous successful experience with developing people and managing financial resources
  • The ability to lead a team through change
