
English Curriculum Specialist

The Department of Education, Western Australia seeks a skilled Teacher to deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum.
The successful applicant should possess professional knowledge, understandings, and experience to teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank ATAR English courses, ideally with proven success working with very able students.
Knowledge and/or experience teaching Gifted and Talented students is desirable. The teacher will support the implementation of the college's Business Plan, be committed to whole college approaches and initiatives, and have a strong evidence-based approach to teaching.
A key aspect of the role is adopting inclusive practices, differentiating the curriculum, and building positive relationships with students, staff, and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver an engaging and relevant secondary school English curriculum
- Teach Australian Tertiary Admission Rank ATAR English courses
- Support the implementation of the college's Business Plan
- Adopt inclusive practices, differentiate the curriculum, and build positive relationships
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights
- Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number
