Job Description

The Senior Investment Risk Analyst role sits within the Investment Analytics & Risk team and provides critical support to Investment Risk functions across various investment boutiques.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver recurring risk reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of Investment Risk monitoring, governance, reporting, data integrity, and over-the-counter instrument capture.
  • Ensure the accuracy of risk-related documentation, such as policies, standards, frameworks, and procedures.
  • Improve existing risk processes, controls, and engineer future-fit solutions.
  • Work with stakeholders and service providers to deliver key objectives.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled professional with a degree in Business, Commerce, Mathematics, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are highly regarded.

  • A minimum 5 years' experience in financial services, including 2+ years in Investment Risk.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Australian Investment Risk regulations; offshore exposure is an advantage.
  • Experience across at least one of these asset classes: Fixed Income, Equities, Multi Asset.
  • Familiarity with derivatives.
  • Experience with third-party risk models and explaining risk drivers to stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential; VBA, PowerBI, and FactSet are desirable.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Exhibit excellent stakeholder engagement and time management abilities.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Lists.
