Job Summary

The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of our breakfast service. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of breakfast service, leading the team to provide exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily breakfast operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service from opening to close.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate the breakfast team, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
  • Quality and Presentation: Ensure that the breakfast service meets the luxury standards of The Ritz-Carlton in terms of presentation, quality, and timing.
  • Inventory and Stock Management: Maintain inventory and stock levels, ensuring that the restaurant is well-prepared for each morning service.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
  • Staff Scheduling: Assist with staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
  • Budgetary Management: Support the Restaurant leaders in achieving budgetary goals, including cost control and revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Team Development: Foster a positive working environment, promoting teamwork and professional development within the team.
  • Guest Service: Handle guest inquiries or special requests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Training and Development: Assist with training new team members, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver exceptional service.

About You

  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
  • Working Rights: Full-time working rights required.
  • Certifications: RSA Certificate required.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant highly regarded.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while ensuring luxury service excellence.
  • Passion for Hospitality: A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering an outstanding guest experience.
