About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Online Merchandiser to join our dynamic Marketing Sciences team at DEPT. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving conversion and boosting business performance for promotional and seasonal campaigns on eBay Australia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily/weekly category pages, ensuring site standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Support client briefs from start to finish, including inventory planning, wireframing, campaign and events builds, and QA.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client content management systems and objectives, advising on solutions that meet their needs.
  • Construct optimal product ranges for target markets by balancing price architecture, product variety, and other parameters.
  • Source and upload items, continuously optimizing events, campaigns, and category pages.
  • Prioritize campaigns consistently across desktop, mobile, and email platforms.
  • Analyze performance and provide insights and proposed actions to clients for weekly trading reports.
  • Conduct trend research and competitor analysis for weekly/quarterly planning.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in planning and executing digital campaigns, preferably in the retail sector.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with various CMS platforms and the ability to quickly adapt to new processes and tools.
  • Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and understanding of SEO principles.
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability, with a strong sense of urgency and measurement of risk.
