Overview: As a Nuclear Program Manager, you will oversee and manage nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, optimizing engineering processes, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
This role involves strategic planning, technical leadership, and stakeholder coordination to ensure the successful execution of nuclear-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective project management strategies to drive business growth and achieve organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and execute nuclear projects.
- Provide expert guidance on nuclear engineering principles, safety procedures, and operational efficiency.
- Lead project meetings, workshops, and site visits to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with nuclear operations to enhance safety and performance.
- Manage project budgets, optimize resources, and ensure cost-effective project execution.
- Strengthen relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and research institutions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 8 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.
- 7+ years of experience in nuclear engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in nuclear program management with demonstrated expertise in reactor operations, nuclear fuel systems, or radiation safety.
- Knowledge of nuclear reactor systems, radiation protection principles, and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency in engineering software and simulation tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or nuclear-specific modeling software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Leadership and decision-making aptitude in high-stakes environments.
