About the Role:

The Department of Health (WA Health) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead and manage a portfolio of work within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a portfolio of work within the EMR Program, including planning, initiation, development, evaluation, and management of projects.
  • Provide programmatic leadership, strategic, and tactical advice to the Program Director, Clinical and Executive Directors, as well as other Senior Executives.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Manage and coordinate project teams, including stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to distill complex information into simple narratives.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with experience in managing people and processes to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or government environment, with knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
