About the Role

We are seeking a highly accomplished and experienced educator to lead our faculty as Head of Faculty. As a key member of our academic leadership team, you will be responsible for modelling outstanding teaching and learning practices, leading a diverse and dedicated team of professionals, and contributing significantly to the academic leadership within the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of educators to deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs
  • Model outstanding teaching and learning practices and provide coaching and mentoring to staff
  • Develop and implement curriculum plans and programs that meet the needs of students
  • Contribute to the development of school policies and procedures related to teaching and learning
  • Collaborate with other faculty leaders to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
Requirements
  • Formal teaching qualifications in Languages
  • Current registration with NESA (including recent experience teaching in a classroom)
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • Valid COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
  • Desirable: Postgraduate qualifications in Education Leadership or a specialty area
  • Highly Accomplished Teacher with Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
  • Demonstrated experience in leading Teaching and Learning initiatives in a Secondary School landscape
  • Demonstrate professional knowledge through presenting and attending external workshops, conferences and leadership within a professional association
  • Experience in teaching International Baccalaureate curriculum
What We Offer

We offer an attractive and above Agreement teaching salary between $117,132 - $133,748 plus a generous Leadership Level 2 allowance. This is an ongoing teaching role with an initial 3-year fixed term leadership component as Head of Faculty. The school offers a wide-ranging curriculum that is delivered by motivated, caring staff accessing exceptional facilities and resources. Professional Learning is varied to make sure middle and senior academic staff are supported in their roles and able to grow professionally and personally.
