Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee the Observing Systems and Operations Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist advice, direction, and guidance on observing infrastructure architecture and equipment.

The role involves managing a diverse team of specialists in developing and designing engineering and technological solutions. These solutions include level three support for various technologies such as radars, rainfall stations, drifting buoys, satellites, and ships at sea.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist advice, direction, and guidance on observing infrastructure architecture and equipment.
  • Lead a team of specialists in developing and designing engineering and technological solutions.
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to continuously improve observations infrastructure.
  • Establish methods for providing required observations for services.

The successful candidate will work closely with related teams in Infrastructure Development and National Operations. They will also collaborate with other business areas to develop capabilities.
