About the Role:- This key position will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our facilities.
- The successful candidate will have experience working across multiple trades and hold relevant qualifications in carpentry or a similar industry.
- They will also possess strong communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Maintenance of School Buildings, Properties and Grounds: Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our school facilities, including minor renovations and repairs.
- Furniture Repair and Manufacture: Repair and fabricate furniture and fittings as required.
- Building Project Construction: Undertake minor building project construction to support the needs of our school community.
- Support to Other Departments: Provide relief and assistance to other members of the Building and Grounds Department as needed.
- Experience working across multiple trades.
- Demonstrated experience in carpentry or a similar industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant WHS issues.
- Strong and clear communication skills.
- Solutions-focussed, positive and collaborative approach.
- Ability to undertake moderate physical demands of the position.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Current Working with Children Check and driver's licence.
- Current or willingness to obtain Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect Training certification and First Aid qualifications.
