Facilities Maintenance Specialist

This role involves providing proactive and reactive maintenance services to ensure the smooth operation of facilities. You will work independently to identify and resolve maintenance issues, and contribute to the supervision and assistance of contractors as required.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake daily operational checks on plant, equipment, and buildings to ensure optimal performance and prevent potential issues.
  • Perform general maintenance duties, including repairs, replacements, and upgrades, within your skill level and areas of expertise.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant Australian Standards for maintenance of private hospital facilities and apply this understanding to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in after-hours on-call service, performing emergency tasks and responding to urgent situations as required.
About You

We are seeking a motivated individual with relevant trade experience, preferably in plumbing, mechanical fitting, electrical work, or carpentry. Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance, particularly in hospitals, is an advantage. Your ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential for this role.
