About the Role

EML is a leading provider of workers compensation and personal injury claims management services. We're committed to helping individuals recover and return to work through our ongoing support and expertise.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Claims Manager, where you'll play a key role in coordinating, negotiating, and facilitating injured workers' recovery and return to work.

Your Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage a portfolio of workers compensation claims to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals, employers, brokers, and other stakeholders to create effective Return to Work strategies.
  • Assist workers and employers with the claim process, providing support and ensuring timely access to required services.
  • Assess liability and recovery aspects relevant to legislation or policies.
  • Respond to escalations and provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
About You
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing claims within the New Zealand Accident Compensation Scheme.
  • An empathetic and resilient approach to providing customer-centric support.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Careful attention to detail and a high concern for accuracy.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • A team player with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
