The Role

We are seeking an experienced Aged Care Risk and Compliance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for continuously testing service compliance and adherence to our prescribed systems, processes, and legislation. You will identify and mitigate risks to consumers, risk to our service reputation, and compliance risk.

You will work closely with our key stakeholders to meet the highest governance and quality standards by managing our Policy Framework, leading clinical governance across all services, developing quality and compliance strategies, and ensuring compliance with care system quality standards and auditing practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate incidents, assist our homes in completing open disclosure processes, investigate external and internal complaints, and recommend actions to rectify and mitigate recurrence of incidents.
  • Manage internal and external reviews and audits, lead the implementation of audit recommendations and actions, guide clinical practice improvement to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services.
  • Inform best practice in clinical service delivery, consultancy strategy to support us in maintaining market-leading standards in service delivery, uphold person-centred values, and meet Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
  • Risk monitoring, reviewing, assessing, and corrective actions for incidents to minimise potential harm, pass accreditation, support the wider Quality and Compliance Team in leading clinical governance, and facilitate a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA, 5+ years of experience in risk and compliance (preferably in aged care), proven track record in understanding and managing regulatory change, experience and competence in using data to evaluate care outcomes.
  • Significant experience in Clinical Governance and compliance, ability to identify and evaluate business requirements for quality and care management systems, demonstrate leadership skills focused on mentoring and coaching others to lead governance excellence and quality management.
  • Familiarity with Aged Care, excellent knowledge of governing legislation, and meeting required standards.
What We Offer:
  • Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
