At Breakthru, we foster personal growth and development. As an Empowerment Specialist, you will work closely with clients to understand their career aspirations and provide tailored support to help them achieve their goals.
About The RoleThis role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by supporting participants to access employment opportunities that match their strengths and interests. You will build strong relationships with employers, understand their business needs, and provide innovative staffing solutions that genuinely fit.
Key Responsibilities- Source and create career opportunities for clients, matching them to suitable roles.
- Champion inclusive employment and workforce diversity, focusing on people with disability, injury, or health conditions.
- Engage and work alongside employers to address skill shortages through role carving and inclusive recruitment.
- Broker work experience to build participant skills and assess employer/client compatibility.
- Prepare workplaces to support and retain participants via adjustments and disability confidence training.
- Facilitate employer training to boost disability awareness and inclusion.
- Build employer and community networks to create job opportunities.
- Promote Breakthru as a trusted provider supporting people with disability to achieve career goals.
- Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
- Champion Breakthru's values of inclusion, empowerment, and person-centred practice.
As a skilled and empathetic professional, you bring a passion for making a difference in people's lives. With experience in employment services or a genuine interest in the field, you are confident in supporting clients and building trust. Your excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills allow you to connect with clients and employers alike.
Essential Criteria- Qualifications in Employment or Human Services - desirable
- Proven ability to meet KPIs and manage workload effectively
- Strong understanding of employment barriers faced by people with disability, injury, or health conditions
- Skilled in providing tailored support and developing client-focused employment plans
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current Driver's License - essential
