Job Description

We are seeking a results-driven Events Venue Manager to oversee and optimise retail operations at the Optus Stadium Store. This exciting role combines retail operations, merchandising, and event management, offering a unique opportunity to create memorable fan experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Retail Operations: Manage retail operations at Optus Stadium, including merchandising, stock control, and financial targets.
  • Customer Service: Maintain premium service standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Van Rentals: Oversee bookings, coordinate with towing services, and promote this offering.
  • Event Support: Facilitate operations for additional sporting and lifestyle events across the year.
  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and roster staff to maximise performance while controlling wage costs.
  • Inventory Management: Forecast, plan, and ensure stock integrity through cycle counts and post-event reviews.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance operational processes to ensure efficiency.
  • Reporting: Provide timely analysis and feedback post-events, including recommendations to improve outcomes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, Optus Stadium management, and event hire's.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 3+ years in retail operations, with store or event management experience preferred.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, including training and mentoring staff.
  • Customer Focus: Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Analytically Skills: Ability to interpret sales reports and manage budgets effectively.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong multitasking, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office; experience with Apparel 21 is advantageous.
  • Sports Enthusiasm: Passion for sports.
Salary & Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will receive a competitive benefits package, opportunities for professional growth and development, and the chance to work in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team.
