Job Title: Manager Safety And Compliance

 

Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our operations. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and enhance our Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring adherence to quality standards, ISO 9001, ISO 4801, ISO 14001.

 

  • Maintain and enhance IMS by implementing policies, procedures, and protocols that support our commitment to Zero Harm.
  • Oversee MGN Civil's compliance with relevant safety legislation, construction codes of practice, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote a safety culture among all team members.
  • Collaborate with project managers to conduct site investigations and oversee reporting of hazards, near misses, and incidents.
  • Coordinate external audits and ensure third-party accreditations for Safety, Quality, and Environment.
  • Manage document control, ensuring accuracy and accessibility of company policies, procedures, and registers.
  • Support project managers with project-specific WHSMPs, CEMPs, CSMPs, and other IMS documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits and inspections across projects, including subcontractors.
  • Assist in preparing tender submissions, prequalification data, and client reports.
  • Deliver training, inductions, toolbox talks, and risk-based safety programs that engage teams at every level.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry changes and provide proactive advice to the business.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on health, safety, environment, and quality matters.
