Job Description

The role of Middle Leader exists to support the principal in implementing the school's vision and mission, enhancing growth in faith and improvement in learning for students. This temporary full-time Acting Middle Leader position involves providing pastoral and learning support to students, working closely with the Leader of Student Wellbeing and the Principal.


Responsibilities
  • Provide support and meet the pastoral and well-being needs of students in a selected Stage.
  • Collaborate with the Leader of Student Wellbeing and the Principal to implement effective strategies.
  • Assist the school leadership team in conducting and organizing the school, contributing to the implementation of the school's vision and mission.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A deep understanding and commitment to the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • A strong commitment to promoting and embedding the school's values in pastoral programs and practices.
  • A thorough understanding of contemporary approaches to student well-being and management.
  • Proven ability to lead and work collaboratively with staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to support students with challenging behaviors.
  • Ability to build a positive learning culture of high expectations for all, emphasizing differentiated learning to meet the holistic needs of students.
  • Capacity to use data to discern individual student needs and source appropriate support.
