We are seeking a Senior Environmental Scientist to join our Geosciences team, where you will provide strategic and practical solutions to clients with environmental management challenges.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and build the contaminated land and waste services work stream.
- Actively pursue contaminated land and waste management projects.
- Contribute to the overall strategic goals of the business unit.
- Undertake preliminary and detailed contaminated land assessments.
- Prepare site management plans and remediation action plans.
- Prepare and negotiate bids and fee proposals.
- Initiate, plan, lead, and execute complex contaminated land/waste projects.
- Provide mentoring and technical oversight to the contaminated land/waste team.
- Engage with clients and other disciplinary teams to determine innovative solutions to complex environmental problems.
- Provide commercial oversight to projects to ensure favorable financial results.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Engineering/Hydrogeology or Geology.
- Experience in contaminated land with exposure to a wide range of environmental and engineering situations.
- Strong knowledge of the contaminated land provisions within QLD planning and environmental legislation.
- Well-developed report writing skills.
- Strong business acumen to manage projects commercially and to create meaningful relationships with clients.
