Project Governance and Compliance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Governance and Compliance Specialist to provide leadership, governance, and oversight of Work Wear Goup's (WWG) development and implementation of plans, processes, procedures, and functions associated with Engineering Services.

The purpose of the role is to ensure WWG's compliance with Department of Defence, statutory, and legislative requirements. This includes auditing Engineering Services processes, reviewing WWG plans, processes, and systems, and providing feedback on compliance to WWG.

The successful candidate will have strong skills in driving governance processes and compliance to requirements, as well as the ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, governance, and oversight of WWG's development and implementation of Engineering Services functions.
  • Audit Engineering Services processes to ensure compliance with Commonwealth clothing-related requirements.
  • Review WWG plans, processes, and systems relating to Engineering Services and provide feedback on compliance to WWG.
  • Engage with key client staff to ensure that key deliverables associated with Engineering Services meet requirements.
  • Obtain regular progress reporting from WWG.
  • Write Ventia reports on Engineering Services for provision to CLOSPO.
  • Attend and input into regular Ventia Phase In Coordination meetings.
  • Provide input to enable the updating of the Ventia Phase In Schedule (Gantt Chart).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong skills in driving governance processes and compliance to requirements.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a high-performing member of a team.
  • Demonstrated written communication and IT skills.
