The Senior Construction Procurement Officer will work closely with project managers within the Housing Development Branch and Homes Victoria, providing support by:
- Providing expert advice about public construction and goods & services procurement processes, negotiations, approval frameworks, and control gates to internal clients and stakeholders.
- Actively monitoring and reporting on project progress, particularly in relation to project commitments and forecast, and project risks to resolve any difficulties as they arise.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, internal and external, to facilitate a partnership approach to working with the industry.
The role also involves promoting best practice procurement processes and keeping accurate and complete records of work activities in accordance with legislative requirements and departmental policies. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in procurement and contract management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on public construction and goods & services procurement processes
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders
- Promote best practice procurement processes
- Keep accurate and complete records of work activities
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in procurement or a related field
- Experience in procurement and contract management
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency
Working Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
