About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to provide oversight and coordination of activities to support our workforce.

This includes recruitment, onboarding, and associated employee administrative processes. The position is expected to deliver an exceptional customer experience that exceeds our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • FOLLOW defined work health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures related to the work being undertaken to ensure own safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • ACTIVELY identify, report, and, where possible, fix workplace hazards.
  • Responsibility for and actively involved in identifying and managing risk in day-to-day activities and projects.
  • Provide coordination and support to our workforce by:
    • Maintaining accurate staffing records relevant to field services;
    • Assisting coordinators with the coordination and administrative support of recruitment processes;
    • Supporting leaders and employees with induction, onboarding, and probation processes;
    • Liaising with agency labour hire companies in relation to temporary staffing requirements;
    • Maintaining employee qualifications, tickets, and licence records; and
    • Assisting with training and professional development requests;
    • Provide backup support to administrators with the triage, analysis, and assignment of customer requests and work orders to ensure tasks are correctly allocated in accordance with identified timeframes.
  • Provide proactive support to our portfolio by assisting with the efficient operation of administrative processes and services, and provide backup support to assistants.
  • Actively contribute to the review and implementation of streamlined administrative processes, procedures, and practices to ensure operational support services meet the diverse and changing needs of the portfolio.
  • Undertake administrative tasks and support to members of our leadership team including workgroup leaders, coordinators, and managers.
  • Undertake other tasks and project work as directed by the operations coordinator or manager.
  • Respond professionally and positively to all requests for support with a focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience including telephone calls, face-to-face, and written enquiries.
  • Treat all customers, both internal and external, with courtesy, empathy, understanding, and equity.
  • Assist to identify opportunities to continuously enhance the customer experience and daily operation of the team and portfolio.
  • Actively deliver an innovative customer experience that's effortless, delivered with care, and exceeds our customers' expectations.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships at all levels, providing guidance, advice, and support on operational functions to the portfolio.
  • Positively contribute to our constructive culture by living our values which guide decision making and delivery of outcomes for our community.
  • Contribute to the development and operations of a cohesive, supportive, efficient, and effective team with a strong focus on continuous improvement and our customers.
  • Actively contribute to achieving the portfolio plan goals in line with the organisational and community plan.
  • Promote and maintain a child safe environment and take action as per council policy.
