The role of the Warehouse Management Systems Consultant involves providing expert advice and guidance on implementing and managing warehouse management systems. This includes designing discrete solution configurations, integrating with other warehouse management solutions, and building interfaces using advanced software tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing discrete warehouse management configurations
- Configuring and integrating other warehouse management solutions such as inventory management, order fulfillment, and supply chain optimization
- Builidding interfaces using software development tools
- Reading and writing SQL queries to optimize database performance
- Developing user interface components using web technologies
- Creating reports using data analytics and visualization tools
- Analyzing system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and distribution functional concepts, as well as excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities may also include:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and patches
- Providing training and support to end-users on system functionality and best practices
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation for system configuration and troubleshooting
- Identifying and resolving system issues through troubleshooting and root cause analysis
