Job Overview

The Senior Project Officer plays a crucial role in delivering the Government's agenda to increase access to social and affordable housing for Victorians. This position requires collaboration and innovation, with a dynamic individual experienced in the residential property market, transactions, property valuations, residential construction, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acquire developments and property for social and affordable housing, engaging stakeholders effectively.
  • Negotiate contracts, including construction contracts.
  • Manage projects, coordinate procurement processes, provide authoritative advice, and report results.
  • Maintain accurate records according to legislative requirements and departmental policies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in residential property transactions, valuations, construction, and contract management.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Understanding of the Victorian Government Transaction Policy and Valuer General Victoria framework is highly regarded.
  • Relevant governance and procurement knowledge.
