We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate and direct the Electrical Engineering function across various projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate project electrical design activities to ensure timely delivery and quality standards are met.
- Supervise a team of Design Engineers and Draughtsmen to ensure compliance with technical standards and team satisfaction objectives.
- Lead with integrity, performance managing, mentoring, coaching, training, recruiting, and retaining fulfilled and high-performing team members.
- Select and manage external electrical consultants to achieve project goals.
- Prepare project budgets, time schedules, and resource allocation for management approval and manage assigned projects for quality and change.
- Participate in quality management process development and continuous improvement, driving engineering innovation and excellence.
- Support project development through concept setting and review, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders.
- Work closely with Principal Engineers to ensure a unified multidisciplinary approach to providing engineering solutions and resolving complex problems.
- Drive collaboration between business units and regional engineering groups to ensure consistent, high-quality engineering outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 15 years' experience in design consultancy environment in an engineering capacity.
- Metals and minerals processing industry experience.
- Experience in leading and managing technical/project teams.
- Heavy industry experience.
- Strong technical foundation in electrical and instrumentation design, specification, and procurement management.
- Understanding of key electrical engineering design activities, including hazardous area, functional safety, lightning protection, lighting, and power system studies.
- CPENG and/or RPEng accreditation.
- Project management experience.
- Skills in MS Office suite.
