Job Title: Senior Executive Officer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Executive Officer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in supporting the Local Government Inspector and Inspectorate officers to strengthen oversight, accountability, and performance across the local government sector in Western Australia.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and understanding of confidentiality and recordkeeping requirements. You will be responsible for providing high-level executive and administrative support, including managing correspondence, diary coordination, stakeholder liaison, and ensuring the timely and confidential handling of sensitive matters in a high-volume, high-profile public sector environment.

In this role, you will draw on your experience in delivering executive support to coordinate workflows, prepare agendas, minutes, briefing notes, and confidential documents, and manage enquiries from stakeholders. You will also assist with approvals, financial administration, and purchasing in line with relevant procedures and delegations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level executive and administrative support to the Local Government Inspector and Inspectorate officers.
  • Manage correspondence, diary coordination, stakeholder liaison, and confidential matters.
  • Coordinate workflows, prepare agendas, minutes, briefing notes, and confidential documents.
  • Assist with approvals, financial administration, and purchasing.
Requirements:
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Experience in delivering executive support.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
