The Role: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Tradesperson/Leading Hand to join our team at Sydney. You will undertake various electrical and data works on small to large commercial projects, primarily based at the University of Sydney. Prior experience at this location is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • A strong background in commercial electrical and data projects
  • Coordinate and supervise a small team of electricians and apprentices on small to medium-sized projects under the guidance of a Project Manager
  • Ensure occupational health and safety compliance
  • Procure and manage materials
  • Solve complex electrical and data problems
  • Foster effective communication with clients, employees, and subcontractors
  • Be committed, self-motivated, and possess good organizational and communication skills
  • Stay updated on current electrical and data standards and regulations
  • Mentor apprentices and provide technical guidance
  • Accurately document project records and outcomes
  • Identify and repair electrical and data faults

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a qualified NSW Electrician
  • Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with clients and site supervisors
  • Proficiency in reading electrical plans and schematics
  • A valid White Card
  • A current Australian driver's license
  • An EWP license over 11m and working at heights is a desirable asset

Salary Estimate: $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. This figure is based on industry standards and regional costs in Sydney, considering the required qualifications and responsibilities.
