About BMD Constructions
BMD Constructions, a national contractor with over 40 years of experience in safely delivering infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation & Commissioning Manager to join our team. This role will play a crucial part in overseeing and managing electrical and instrumentation systems in construction projects, particularly within the Water Treatment Industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret drawings and design documentation for electrical and instrumentation systems, utilizing strong technical background and expertise.
- Manage electrical design to ensure accuracy and compliance, reviewing and approving designs as necessary.
- Coordinate with electrical subcontractors, including procurement of electrical equipment, to ensure timely delivery and installation.
- Plan and implement electrical works according to project specifications, ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to safety standards.
- Oversee day-to-day operations in the construction of electrical installations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Manage budgets, forecasting, preparing claims, and demonstrating commercial acumen to drive business growth.
- Develop management plans (electrical and commissioning) for projects and execute them effectively, leveraging expertise and knowledge.
- Maintain open communication with the wider project team to ensure safe delivery of works and achieve project goals.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in Electrical, Instrumentation & Commissioning within the construction industry.
- Relevant electrical qualifications (Trade or Engineering).
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, with experience in managing electrical design, subcontractors, and budgets.
- Familiarity with program software and scheduling techniques, including critical path analysis, float, cause and effect.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
