Job Description

The Traineeship Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in the Indigenous Health Workforce Traineeship (IHWT) Program, driving initiatives to increase skilled Aboriginal professionals in the health sector. This position is responsible for coordinating the IHWT Program across Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHS) in Western Australia.


Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the IHWT Program across ACCHS in WA
  • Develop and implement program strategies to increase skilled Aboriginal professionals in the health sector

This role involves working within a multicultural organization where most employees, clients, and stakeholders identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.


Requirements
  • Experience in program/project administration, recruitment, training, or related fields
  • Understanding of the vocational education and training (VET) sector and qualifications delivered by Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
  • Strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and good time management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to plan and coordinate workload effectively
  • Strong written communication skills for drafting correspondence, editing documents, and writing reports
