Key Responsibilities- Play a key role in the research, analysis and evaluation of the department's asset data sources, structures, governance, reporting and digital service management requirements.
- Gather, validate and document business and reporting requirements.
- Analyse commercial data such as budgets, expenditure and forecasts.
- Model business processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Identify issues, risks and benefits of existing and proposed solutions and outline business impacts.
- Create functional specifications for solutions.
- Estimate costs and identify business savings.
- Simplify information and decipher technical jargon so it is easily understood by the whole team.
- Implement and test solutions.
- Support business transition and help establish change.
- Coordinate internal stakeholders and oversee the delivery of an Information and Technology roadmap.
- Draft briefing notes, presentations and memos to gain internal approvals for data, technology and analytics solutions.
- Engage and collate department scope of requirements for asset data analytics and reporting.
- Research and prepare draft reports, briefing materials and correspondence for submission to senior management.
- The ability to make decisions around requirement prioritisation, scope and assessing viability of solutions.
- Excellent analytical skills – the ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Confident presentation skills – the ability to write and speak clearly to easily communicate complex ideas.
- Problem solving skills.
- Communication skills with effective stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills.
- Requirement gathering is a key part of the role, so the ability to ask the right questions and correctly understand the information received is essential.
- Excellent documentation and writing skills.
- The ability to present findings and recommendations to senior leaders and manage stakeholder meetings.
A formal qualification in a business-related discipline is desirable.
