The opportunity:
In this high-impact leadership role, you will establish and lead our Product Design function, building a high-performing design team, shaping our design strategy and driving the creative direction for our software products. You will build, then lead and scale a talented team of Product Designers to deliver exceptional digital experiences and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-centric digital solutions, ensuring our software is intuitive, seamless and allows our users to easily achieve their goals.
About you
You are a strong, collaborative leader that brings extensive experience across key facets of software design, team building and leadership. You have a proven track record in senior product design roles, ideally with experience leading teams in product-led organisations and excel in creating and implementing product design strategies that promote business growth and innovation.
You bring the following skills and experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in product design, UX, and leadership, with a proven track record of building and leading design teams.
- Deep understanding of user-centered design processes, interaction design, visual design, and UX research.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating successful delivery of complex software products.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions to various stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with engineering and product teams in an agile environment.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and team-building abilities.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide access to further education and diverse training opportunities, and actively support internal mobility. We also offer flexible and adaptable hybrid working policy with the expectation of spending 4 days a fortnight coming into our state-of-the-art office.
