Research and Conservation Scientist

We are seeking an experienced researcher to develop and expand our conservation and restoration native species seed science programs.

  • Deliver high-level research outcomes, including collaborations with leading international seed science and restoration groups.
  • Oversee laboratory, field, and glasshouse programs, particularly in relation to developing effective industry and First Nations programs in conservation and restoration seed science.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A recognised doctoral degree, higher doctorate or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully undertaking research in the fields of conservation and/or restoration science as it relates to seed ecology and seed science of wild species.
  • The capacity to contribute and participate in a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • The ability to work cooperatively and productively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • An excellent record in research, supported by peer-reviewed grants and publications at a level commensurate with the position.
