We are seeking an exceptional professional to fill the role of Supporter Relations Officer.

This is a key position within our Development team, and the successful candidate will have a critical impact on our ability to deliver effective conservation for native animal species and their habitats.

Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) is a global leader in conservation, providing hope for Australia's wildlife with a science-informed, land management partnership approach that delivers high-impact results.

Our mission is to achieve effective conservation for all native animal species and their habitats by:

  • Operations: delivering effective large-scale land management including fire management, feral animal control, weed control, and infrastructure management.
  • Science: conducting research on key issues such as feral cat control, and measuring population indicators through our largest national biological survey program.
  • Fundraising: mobilizing finance from the general public and philanthropists through effective communication of field updates from around our estate.
Key Responsibilities

The Supporter Relations Officer reports directly to the Development Operations Manager and works closely with other staff members on the Development team, particularly the Senior Supporter Relations Officer, Database and Systems Officer, and a team of Development Executives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with a CRM database in a fundraising or sales/marketing environment.
  • Understanding basic fundraising principles and practices, and the role data plays in driving strategy, campaigns, and programs.
  • Executing many tasks in an efficient manner, prioritizing and communicating effectively with the team.
Critical Competencies

Successful candidates must possess:

  • Demonstrated experience working with a CRM database.
  • Strong understanding of basic fundraising principles and practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks efficiently.
Qualifications

Applicants must hold a Police clearance certificate.
