Senior Tax Manager

At TAL, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our team. As a key member of our tax function, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice on indirect tax matters, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and driving business growth through strategic tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage tax risk end-to-end throughout the business, ensuring compliance with the TAL Risk Governance Framework.
- Provide expert advice on indirect tax matters, including GST, FBT, and Stamp Duty.
- Ensure accurate provision of compliance deliverables for the TDA group.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize business outcomes.
- Collaborate with business leaders to provide tax advice and support on commercial decisions.
- Manage external auditors and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Strong knowledge and experience in applying Australia's Corporate & Indirect Tax laws for a financial services business.
- Knowledge and experience of life insurance, funds management, custody, or superannuation would be ideal.
- Understanding of ATO requirements and expectations.
- Understanding of various State Revenue Authorities requirements and expectations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with management to resolve commercial issues.
- Experience in providing clear, confident, and supported tax advice to stakeholders.
