We're transforming the supply chain industry by merging robotics and software to create innovative solutions for a $1T market. Our focus is on the supply chain, which is facing unprecedented challenges due to e-commerce growth, rising costs, and disruptions.

Our Software team seeks an experienced staff backend engineer to develop and scale critical services powering our system. In this role, you'll collaborate with software and firmware engineers to design and implement command and control functionality. We prioritize development of functional, reliable, and high-performing software that drives long-term success of our core software stack.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor software development for our system's core services
  • Design and implement automated tests to ensure high-quality software releases and accurate functionality
  • Work closely with the firmware team to guarantee seamless bot integration
  • Deliver high-quality code in various hardware and cloud environments
  • Design, implement, test, and document software

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong experience with common backend languages, with a strong focus on recent Python expertise
  • Experience with path planning using algorithms
  • Experience with strategies for optimizing inventory placement for storage
  • Expertise in developing highly available and reliable systems
  • Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and HIL testing
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
  • Sense of ownership and a collaborative approach to software development within a team
  • Iterative approach to software development
