About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience working on urban development projects, designing essential civil elements such as roads, stormwater systems, carparks, pavements, and driveways.

  • Project Delivery: Contribute to civil works for urban development projects supporting buildings across education, residential, mixed-use, and commercial sectors.
  • Design Scope: Deliver designs for roads, on-site detention (OSD), water-sensitive urban design (WSUD), stormwater/drainage systems, carparks, pavements, and driveways.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance, training, and support to junior engineers, contributing to their growth and development.
  • Career Growth: Supported by a strong senior management team, with opportunities to expand responsibilities and step into leadership as the team grows.
About You
  • Qualified Professional: A Civil Engineering Degree is essential, with a minimum of 5 years' civil design engineering experience gained in Australia.
  • Independent & Experienced: Confident working autonomously while delivering high-quality design outcomes.
  • Collaborative & Supportive: Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with engineers, clients, and architects and committed to mentoring and supporting two junior engineers.
  • Technically Proficient: Skilled in MUSIC and DRAINS software. Bonus if you're familiar with AutoCAD, 12d, or Civil 3D.
