Job Title: Construction Inspector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Construction Inspector. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting a safe, healthy and productive construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting inspections and investigations to improve workplace safety outcomes.
  • Delivering education and engagement programs for workers and employers.
  • Responding to serious workplace incidents as part of the emergency response service.
  • Providing practical advice and guidance to industry and stakeholders.
  • Participating in the planning and development of targeted projects to reduce harm in workplaces and support regulatory priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills to engage and influence key stakeholders to improve safety outcomes.
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to prepare accountable records including technical reports, statutory notices and contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures.
  • Identify non-compliance with legislation and recommend strategies to achieve compliance.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders on work health & safety issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
