Food Service Assistant

Improve Dining Experiences for Seniors

Seeking an enthusiastic and caring Food Service Assistant to join our friendly team at a residential aged care facility. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a warm and welcoming dining experience for our residents.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with the kitchen team to plan and prepare meals, catering to dietary needs and cultural requirements, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and serving meals with professionalism and respect.

  • Participate in meal planning and preparation to meet resident needs
  • Assist with food orders, budgeting, and inventory management
  • Support the Chef Manager in menu planning and food presentation
  • Maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen area
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and colleagues alike

Requirements:

  • Full working rights in Australia (essential)
  • Current DHS NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential)
  • Previous experience in aged care or hospitality (desired)
  • Certificate II in Hospitality or willingness to obtain one
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for providing excellent care and service
