- Advise and direct management on the financial position of the finance area, project, and/or business unit.
- Analyse and apply financial, economic, market, and industry data to enhance operational excellence and maximise profit.
- Manage compliance in associated areas, ensuring all obligations are adhered to.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes, contributing to the development of governance processes.
- Use influence strategies to gain commitment from others to reduce or control costs.
- Manage overhead costs, providing robust variance analysis and cost forecasts.
- Assist with the month-end process, reviewing project reports and compiling business unit financials.
- Identify trends or irregularities, communicating with management.
- Investigate anomalies, discussing with responsible parties or utilising multiple systems to collate data.
- Assist with project performance and participate in the annual budget process for the business unit.
- Engage and build relationships with other divisions, collaborating and liaising with stakeholders to improve and standardise processes.
- Investigate and address data integrity issues, responding to requests for reports associated with the payable process.
- Meet compliance regulations and external and internal audit requirements.
- Conduct scenario and options analysis to assess the impact of changes in assumptions and variables.
- Identify relevant data sources, using technology and system knowledge to enhance the quality of analytics and performance measurement.
- Generate effective reporting and dashboards to support decision-making.

Requirements- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Extensive experience demonstrating systems accounting experience, strong commercial acumen, scenario, and option analysis.
- Certified Practicing Accountant or Chartered Accountant, or working towards these qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills, with proven experience of building relationships at all levels of an organisation.
- Commitment to quality, with a focus on producing high-quality work.
- Ability to leverage analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose business problems and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.
- Experience using the Microsoft package, with advanced skills using Microsoft Excel.
