Senior Staff Specialist Anaesthetist

The hospital's anaesthetics department is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including operating theatres and an ICU/High Dependency Unit, where procedures are performed across a wide range of specialties, including general surgery, obstetrics, orthopaedics, and trauma.

As a Staff Specialist Anaesthetist, you will play an integral role in providing high-quality, evidence-based anaesthetic care across a variety of medical specialties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide anaesthetic services to a diverse range of patients, including those from isolated and underserved communities.
  • Develop expertise in clinical areas such as obstetrics, ICU, pain management, regional anaesthesia, and more.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in anaesthesia for obstetrics and epidurals.
  • Engagement in continuous medical education and quality improvement initiatives.
